This script has more plotholes than a post-monsoon Indian street has potholes. R. Balki’s obsession with AB is doing a disfavor to him and his muse. When I compare Cheeni Kum, Paa and this to English Vinglish (which he only produced and Gauri Shinde directed) it’s clear Balki should put his money behind someone else’s work. A drunk AB, a wannabe-turned-into-overnight-superstar Dhanush and the monotone as cardboard Akshara weren’t able to add the much needed pace to this movie. At least Balki tried a new topic. Next time maybe research a bit more so you know today’s audiences can’t be fooled with your senseless sci-fi like dramatics. (3/10)
